Abstract

This paper deals with the equations of an electron beam motion in a periodic electrostatic field. The beam is divided into m rings at the input of the focusing system and the motion of every ring is considered. The focusing system uses the electrodes with central holes instead of grids used in the ideal focusing system [1].
